Group Exercise Instructor

Do you love fitness and teaching? The Y is currently looking for a group fitness instructor for morning, afternoon and evening classes.

Requirements:
A fitness background and current certifications in Community First Aid and CPR. Nationally recognized Fitness certifications are preferred. Willing to train the right candidate! Excellent human relation skills and the ability to maintain positive communication with program participants, volunteers and staff.

Lead Childcare Teacher

We are looking for fun, dedicated individuals to join our Licensed Childcare Center. Our Childcare Teachers are responsible for the planning and implementing the daily activities in the Child Care programs for the YMCA of Dodge County. 

Job Title: Childcare Teacher
Wage Scale: up to $14.00 per hour
Employee Type: up to 40 hours weekly

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred Lead Teacher experience
  • Educational qualifications in compliance with DCF Wisconsin Licensing Rules for Group Child Care Centers
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification or within 30 days of hire
  • Must complete and pass background check
  • The ability to appropriately interact with children at their cognitive level
  • Dedication the YMCA, good work ethic and the ability to work independently

Physical Demands:

  • The ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • The ability to participate in all required physical activities with the children

VOLUNTEER YOUTH SPORTS COACHES, REFEREES & TEACHERS

The Y is always looking for individuals to help coach, referee and teach classes for our different evening youth recreational programs. Candidates should be enthusiastic, motivating, and be able to relate well to children ages 1-12 years. Some knowledge and experience playing organized sports is preferred (soccer, basketball, baseball, flag football, volleyball and more!). Volunteer and service hours opportunities available! Volunteers must be 16 years or older.

SCHOOL AGE CHILDCARE TEACHER

We are currently seeking a School Age Child Care Teacher for our Beaver Dam SACC sites.

Wage Scale: $9.50 to $13.00 per hour

Hours per week: Part-time hourly
(Before School) 6:30 AM - 8:45 AM and (After School) 3:30 PM - 5:45 PM
**Additional hours may be available**

Work Days: Monday-Friday

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Dedication to the YMCA, good work ethic and the ability to work independently
  • Current State of Wisconsin mandated qualification
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification or within 30 days of hire
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have a minimum of 80 hours of Early Childhood classes OR completed at least 3 credits in Elementary Education, or Child Guidance, or Child Development
  • Minimum of 80 days experience working in a childcare/school setting
  • Must meet all requirements and be familiar with state licensing guidelines and requirements

SWIM INSTRUCTOR

Love to swim? Love kids? Share your love of the water by teaching swim lessons at the Y to kids ages 6 months-12 years old! Employees are eligible for a Free YMCA membership and discounts on programs! Child Watch is also available to employees for FREE during lesson times.

Wage Scale: $8.00-$9.00/hour based on experience

Lesson Times:
  Tuesday & Thursday Mornings, 9:00-11:00 AM
  Tuesday Evenings, 4:30-7:30 PM
  Thursday Evenings, 4:30-7:30 PM
  Saturday Mornings, 8:00-11:00 AM

Requirements: Water Safety Instructor certification is preferred. Applicants must be 16 years or older.

LIFEGUARD SUPERVISOR

The Y is currently looking for evening and weekend Lifeguard Supervisors.

Wage Scale: $9.00-$11.00/hour based on experience
Hours per week: Part-time hourly
Work Days: Weeknights 6:00-8:30 PM, Saturday 12:45-5:30 PM & Sunday 12:45-3:30 PM

Requirements: Lifeguard certification is preferred, but we are willing to train the right individual. Applicants must be 18 years or older.

LIFEGUARDS
